Previous two chapters dropped all the emotional tension. The jump of over a year, then ten years later, robs the story of any sense of struggle. The emotional peaks exist in exposition, not in the scenes themselves.We’ve been waiting for him to confront his mom, to navigate their fractured relationship, to see how the family reconciles or fails.Instead, the story just skips the actual work of reconciliation, no real conversations, no struggles, no awkward moments, just a sudden “it’s all fine now” reveal.We’re told they’re happy, relieved, and reconciled, but we don’t see them working for it. That disconnect makes the reader feel cheated.
Overall, good story but I feel like the ending was rushed and time skips hurt it.

sure... man seems like such a ball drop. All that emotion built up then boom boom two time skips with none of the ACTUAL moments shown where emotion should be.... did you just get bored of the story? We got none of the pivotal talking moments that were built up over chapters and chapters... just haha we did it 10 years later WEEEEE

I think people are being a bit too harsh. He really only has his side of the story, he has no context of the conversation and he also wont allow them to tell their side of the story. Its like walking into a friends house to hear "Ya I really hate fat people!" then leaving, when they were telling a story about someone who said that.
He is being purposely difficult here.
